#protips: Bridal Sizing Guide

We get it, babe - bridal sizing is a little tricky! Here is a quick size guide for shopping our samples!

♡ As a general rule of thumb [or should we say ring finger? 💍], most brides tend to size up 1-2 dress sizes in bridal. For example, if you're a size 8, more than likely, a bridal size 10 or 12 will work perfect!

♡ All Watters lines [including Watters, WTOO + Willowby] tend to run true to size. For example, if you're a size 12, a bridal size 12 will be great!

♡ JLM designers [including Hayley Paige, Lazaro + Tara Keely] run tiny - expect to go up 2-3 sizes!

♡ You can typically alter a dress down 2 sizes, but keep in mind this is dress-specific.

♡ Most designers offer at least a half of an inch of seam allowance on each side of the gown [1" total]. So if that beauty fits but feels a little snug, your seamstress can probably let it out a bit + make it much more comfortable!

Please remember these are general rules and all designers run different - it's like jeans shopping, but prettier! Keep in mind that whether you order a brand new dress from a traditional boutique or fall head over heels for a designer sample gown at Luxe Redux, you will need alterations! For any specific fit/alterations questions, please contact a Luxe Redux stylist before ordering.
